You Me At Six - Kiss And Tell

For all their achievements, we still kind of want to dislike You Me At Six, they’re just so bloody young, talented and handsome. Problem is they’re still managing to win us over via the very music we want to loathe. Pristine, slick and so Summery it could give you a tan, YM@6 continue to show up the American pop-punk acts they sound so similar to.

‘Kiss And Tell’ is a (another) song to instantly convert ladies’ knees to jelly, and to get the legs of any gender dancing. Catchy being an understatement, here the band offer up a biting, defiant story their target audience will instantly connect to, and Franceschi’s voice is improving, reinforcing that though they’re already headlining venues much bigger than a band at their level, you can still say that big things are coming their way. This reviewer is still uncomfortable admitting it, but You Me At Six are one of the best at what they do.
