Irish trio get single-d out
Following on from their 'A-Z' tour of the UK, the Northern Irish trio continue their alphabet of singles releases with letter 'H', 'Sure Shot', a prime slice of pop-rock.
It’s a rollicking little number that seems to have escaped the 1950s via the 1980s with its ‘Wohohoh’s and synth-tastic riffs; and you can imagine all manner of teenyboppers from both decades rocking out to the chorus. Basically it’s a classic Ash number, with a twist of 'now'.
This is the kind of song that evokes days chanting along to choruses at summer festivals, but it’ll make a welcome musical edition to the cold and dark days of January.
