The Academy Is - Checkmarks
The Academy Is... seem to be one of the most under-rated bands around at the moment, and 'Checkmarks' proves it. Unknown to most of the world, one of the best rock singles of the year so far has been taken from album 'Almost Here', and released through Fueled By Ramen - more famous for the likes of Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco.
With heartfelt vocals from William Beckett and an infectious melody, 'Checkmarks' is a song that's likely to get you out of your chair, and dancing. Or at the very least tapping your foot to its beat. Electric guitars from Tom Conrad and Mike Carden along with throbbing drums from Andy Mrotek, and Adam Siska's bass.
