You Me At Six

You Me At Six have a metal side project and are set to release material soon, Rocklouder can reveal.

The band, who head off on tour to Japan and Australia later this month, had a chat with our sister site This Is Fake DIY at last week's Reading Festival.

"We have a metal side project" confirmed drummer Dan "...but we're not going to reveal the name yet" teased bassist Matt. The who-knows-what-they're-called band are set to release a five track EP sometime in the near future. Follow us on Twitter for more on that curious news as we get it.

In other (presumably) less metal news, the guys also confirmed they're set to start work on their new album - the follow up to the top 5 charting 'Hold Me Down' - early next year, with a view to releasing it in summer 2011. Exciting!

In the meantime the band head out on their biggest ever UK tour this December, with a support from The Blackout and Canterbury. Tickets for all dates are available here.
