Weezer announce London headline show - ticket details

Weezer have announced a rare UK headline show.

The band, who released latest album 'Hurley' at the end of 2010, will play the capital's Brixton Academy venue on 6th July.

It's a warmup for their appearances at this year's festivals - Sonisphere on 9th July, and T In The Park on 10th July, and an appearance at Oxegen in Ireland beforehand. Though there's a gap of a couple of days inbetween their Brixton show and Oxegen, so we've got our fingers crossed for more date announcements.

The London gig is set to be their first headline show in the country for a number of years. Their seminal 'Pinkerton' album was reissued late last year and the band played a series of gigs in the US where they performed the record in full - though, sadly, this announcement doesn't look like it's one of those events. But hey, it's better than nothing, right?

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 18th March - check here for ticket availability.
