Oceansize have been forced to postpone their tour after their drummer was admitted to hospital.

The band, who have been on a tour across the UK, posted a statement on their Myspace profile explaining the situation.

"Mark is very ill and has been admitted to hospital indefinitely, we thought it best to postpone the dates until the New Year as it’s unlikely he will be well enough in time and as I’m sure you all understand it’s vital he makes a full recovery. We will have a full re-scheduled tour early next week."

All tickets for the original dates are set to be valid for the new shows.

The dates affected are as follows:

November
30 - Aberdeen Tunnels

December
1 - Glasgow King Tut's
2 - Liverpool Masque
3 - London Heaven
