Muse to play gig in space?
The trio have apparently talked it over...
In what's already the most surreal news story of 2011, it's been revealed that Muse could be playing a gig in space in the near future. Yes, really.
The Teignmouth trio, who are writing new material for their next album over the coming year, have had "discussions" amongst themselves about the possibility of a space gig, becoming the first rock band to play up there.
Frontman Matt Bellamy told The Sun that the band and their team have had "very coherent and sometimes very late at night" conversations about the space gig, but insisted their intentions were "for real".
"I'm thinking of approaching Richard Branson to see if we could do it on his Virgin Galactic spacecraft" said Bellamy. "Although we do have a lot of equipment, so I guess we'd scale back the shows a lot."
"We'd love to be part of that" he admitted.
