Muse rock ‘nuts’ Manchester on first date of UK stadium tour

Muse heart Manchester - official.

Posted 6th September 2010 in News, Muse

Muse kicked off the first night of their three-night UK stadium tour this weekend with a spectacular Manchester show.

The trio were joined by a troupe of dancers and the usual impressive Muse stageshow at the concert, held at the sold-out Lancashire County Cricket Club venue. Running through an extensive set, the band ran through a selection of their greatest hits along with album tracks and fan favourites. Singles 'Knights of Cydonia' and 'Plug In Baby' were kept until the finale, and got the best crowd reaction of the night, with fans nearly drowning out the band.

The trio were so impressed by the crowd's reaction they took to their Twitter page after the gig to write "Wow. That was pretty fucking amazing. You Mancs are nuts".

Muse are set to take a break from touring following their current stadium jaunt, and are set to spend 2011 writing material for their next album.

The band's two-venue tour continues this coming weekend, where they play Wembley Stadium on September 10th and 11th alongside Biffy Clyro, White Lies and The Big Pink. Limited tickets for both dates are still available - snap them up here while you still can.
