Over 100 Metallica fans were arrested this week after a riot outside a show.

It is believed hundreds of fans turned up to the gig on Wednesday (10th March) in Simón Bolívar Park, Bogota, Columbia without tickets. They proceeded to try and break down barriers to gain entry to the concert.

Riot police and tanks were already present after a tip-off that fans may try and gatecrash the huge gig. The riot went on for nearly an hour, with four police officers becoming injured trying to calm the crowds.

Ruben Castillo, head of the police in Bogota, was quoted as saying: "The presence of police and riot teams was necessary because these misfits - there's no other name for them - damaged windows in the surrounding area."

Metallica have not commented on the incident.
