Machine Head recording new album, announce brand new single details
Veteran metal band will unleash a new single this summer.
Machine Head have announced details of a new single.
The band, currently putting the finishing touches to their new as-yet-untitled album, will release taster single 'Locust' on June 19th.
"Locusts fly in a swarm, but they can't control which direction they fly. They float on the wind, they land, cause massive destruction, and then float away on the wind to leave you in the aftermath. The song is a metaphor for a type of person that sometimes comes into your life and has a similar effect" said frontman Robb Flynn.
The metallers' last album was the acclaimed 'The Blackening' in 2007.
Their new album, currently being recorded at Green Day's Jingletown Studios in California, is expected for release this winter. It is the band's 20th anniversary in 2012, with Machine Head expected to tour throughout next year.
