Band part ways

Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy's future is in doubt after bandmembers have fuelled rumours of a split.

The quartet, who have been together since 2001, have been the subject of fall-out rumours for a number of weeks, with bassist Pete Wentz saying he felt "lost and confused". Frontman Patrick Stump recently confirmed he has started work on a solo record.

Now Wentz has confirmed on Twitter that Fall Out Boy could be done for good. "I can't imagine playing in FOB again," he wrote. "Something would have to change in my head or my heart ... not my wallet."

Drummer Andy Hurley took to a fan message board to address the rumours, stating "I really wish I could tell everyone if we were done or not... but I just don't know".

The band announced an indefinite hiatus following the release of their Greatest Hits album late last year, but it is now believed the split could be permanent. They have yet to release an official statement.
