Billie Joe Armstrong reveals info on new Green Day material
The trio have been cooking up some new songs while they've been away...
Green Day are working on new material, it's been confirmed.
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong posted on his Twitter page that the legendary punks were "jamming new songs everyday".
He refused to go into further detail, but added that "The direction is fresh and high energy. Feels great" and they were "having the best time playing music".
The band's 'American Idiot' musical recently finished its run on Broadway, grossing over $40million since it began last year.
The musical is currently being worked into a film by Universal Pictures. Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black has confirmed he is working on the movie, expected to start filming later this year.
