Wavves - Post Acid
Californian fuzz kid Nathan Williams returns with brand new material
This popped up on the web last week, but we've only just recovered from the shock of hearing it. We've been fans of Wavves ever since his distorted fuzz-pop caused waves (sorry) across the internet in 2008 - Williams' debut album, filled with noisy bedroom punk gems, was an impressive statement of intent. Even though most people couldn't quite work out what the hell he was singing about.
Nathan managed to get a bit of a reputation for enjoying himself a little too much - famously having an on-stage meltdown at Spain's massive Primavera festival last year - but now he's cleaned himself up in more ways than one, and 'Post Acid' is the impressive result.
Taken from the upcoming 'King Of The Beach' album, this is a fantastic, shiny punk gem with shades of Blink 182 at their peak. Stream or download it from the widget below.
