Alert: The Michelles

Their music has tastes of The Young Knives, The Beatles, and yes - even McFly.

The Michelles

Who?
The Michelles are a proper band - they certainly don't make them like this any more. Let us take you back to summer 2005; it was a hot pleasant evening in London when Tim (vox / guitar) and Gustaf (vox / bass) met at Kings Cross Station. Both boys - American and Swedish respectively - had run away from their homelands with nothing but a guitar and a dream. After recruiting Welsh lad Graeme on drums and Englishman Marc for guitar and a few more vocals, the boys were well on their way.

What's The Deal?
Similar to We Are Scientists, The Michelles aren’t scared to laugh at themselves. In fact, if you go to their website you'll be able to buy four pairs of signed white socks for the man in your life. And also like WAS, the guys make fantastic music, influenced by everyone from Of Montreal to The Strokes to Smokey Robinson to their parents (although we think that last one may not be musically...).

Will I Like It?
The Michelles make instantly in-your-head pop music for happy people. They'll make you smile and dance like you’ve never heard of indie discos and they are all you live for. Their music has tastes of The Young Knives, The Beatles, and yes - even McFly. But don’t let that stop you.

What's Next?
The lads are on vacation over Christmas time, but in the meantime you can buy debut single 'Springtime' online along with some of those socks, which you can wear when you see them in the new year...
