The Howls

Who?
The Howls are a Liverpool based band that will no doubt start turning heads very soon with their brand of bluesy rock'n'roll. Band members Dave on Vox / Guitar / Harmonica, Jules on Bass / Vox and Robbie on Drums have since garnered fans around the Liverpool scene since their now infamous gig at the 'Your Racket Club' night in The Zanzibar Liverpool, which saw the band play a set to a crowd who's jaws had to be picked up off the floor.

What's the Deal?
Taking their name from the Ginsberg writings that inspired BRMC to create their album 'Howl', the band hails from Liverpool and there are constant whispers that they are soon to be signed due to their electric live sets and growing following. With a dirty blues sound that sounds like it came straight out of the 70s, it would seem they are flying the flag for the return of rock'n'roll. Without any releases or recorded demos to speak of they have already set tongues wagging amongst the Liverpool scene.

Will I Like It?
With a sound not unlike Wolfmother, The White Stripes and The Datsuns, this band will appeal to all who are a fan of rock in all its dirty glory. With big guitars hard drums and fat bass lines they are an incendiary band that will surely become an important band amongst a scene desperate for an alternative to the fluro wearing new rave crowd. The Howls are definitely ones to watch this year.
