The name's on the tin. Though she'll often be found with a backing band live, this is all about the J.O.Y.
What's The Deal?
Having picked up the guitar at 14, New Jersey girl Jenny set about becoming one of the best U.S. singer/songwriters you've never heard of. She has a knack for hilarious covers of less obvious songs ('Milkshake' and more recently 'Hot In Herre' - which proved so popular she put it on an E.P and made a video). But the real incentive is her own material, often as tongue-in-cheek as it is heartfelt, Jenny Owen Youngs is the genuine alternative to the dull-as-dishwater female singer/songwriters riddling the charts.
