Well being the time of year that it is, we thought we better put together our list of top albums from the last 12 months, just in case you've not read enough of these yet...

There's a few expected inclusions in here, and a few not so expected, so we'd thoroughly recommend leaving your grandparents sat down with The Vicar Of Dibley and getting online to check out anything you've not got in your collection. There's a wide spread of musical styles across the whole Rocklouder spectrum, so we think there's at least a little something for everyone.

Topping the list you'll notice the man that finished number 2 in our 2007 Artists Of The Year list. Going from a pretty good year then, he's now gone and released such a blinder of a 2nd album that there really was no other choice but to crown it our Album Of The Year - Frank Turner, we salute you!

So, without further ado, here are Rocklouder's top 20 albums of 2008!

1 - Frank Turner - Love, Ire And Song
2 - The Academy Is... - Fast Times At Barrington High
3 - Funeral For A Friend - Memory And Humanity
4 - The Automatic - This Is A Fix
5 - Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs

If anything grabs you in the way it should, then head on over to our favourite indie record store for the smaller bands, or head on over to HMV for the Metallica's of this world.

Happy Christmas/Hannukah to one and all. We're off to make a start (bugger!) on the present shopping!Rocklouder
