While the numbers upon the Fightstar bandwagon gradually grow, its wheels maybe reluctantly slowing under the increasing weight of it all, a point proven by latest single ‘Floods’. As a result it’s a song that can be viewed in one of two ways.
The grandiose production and epic qualities the lie within this song presents the ambitions of a band wanting to create heavy rock for mass consumption. On the other hand, it’s an obvious nod (more like bow) in the direction of British mega stars Muse and its such comparisons that will inevitability shrink what large potential this song once had.
A weak moment in what has been a strong twelve months for the boys, they’ll be back on tour to hopefully put to rights what doubts may be lingering by the time they hit the stage in May.
