- We thought it'd be wrong to re-review a single we'd already written on, so instead we thought we'd give you a chance to see our original musings on 'Misery Business' from last year, and see how right we called it!

In 2007, Paramore have every right to be confident, and this is a very confident song. It's about love, or more appropriately winning someone's love at the expense of someone else. Very few bands and artists have managed to create anthems about getting one over on somebody else, let alone rubbing it in their face. Perhaps Mrs Lavigne-Whibley was the last one with 'Girlfriend'? Ah, these pop-punk girls - very controversial!

"I waited eight long months / She finally set him free / I told him I couldn't lie, he was the only one for me / Two weeks and we had caught on fire / She's got it out for me, but I wear the biggest smile." Indeed the song focuses on Hayley Williams' victory over another girl - she now has the others bloke, and she is very proud of it. Is she being self-Indulgent? Yes! Has she created an annoyingly good song that will stick in your brain for hours? Abso-bloody-lutely! Have Paramore created the kind of song that potentially inspires young girls to steal other young girl's men (without the long wait) so they can be happy? Maybe! However, what's important here is the music, and this is a damn fine slice of melodic pop-punk to soothe a broken soul or just rock out to if your drunk with your other half or just your mates. The reason this one is so darn catchy is because of the soaring guitars provided by Josh Farro and Jeremy Davis on guitar and bass guitar respectively.

These two essential aspects of the rock music formula are the key that both speeds up and slows down the tempo in perfect cohesion alongside the disjointed disco-beat drums. Young 17 year old Drummer Zac Farro and his skills serve to provide some more oomph and an infectious danceable beat. Enough of an infectious beat even, to make the hard rock and metal contingent in the clubs find themselves quietly enjoying this one. Don't knock it, til you've tried it people!

Paramore are worth the hype. Simple.
