Artist Of The Year: #1 - Paramore
Artist profile:
Paramore
So, it's New Years Eve 2007, and we've come to the end of our Artists Of The Year chart...
The way Paramore have blown up all around this year alone, makes them worthy of the Number 1 spot.
After slaying audiences everywhere from Tennessee, to Tokyo, to (the Astoria on) Tottenham Court Road (sorry, couldnt think of somewhere beginning with T in the UK) they've ended the year with a Grammy nomination for best new act, a record that's just gone gold in America (thats half a million copies to you and I), and
a massive UK tour kicking off in January that sold out in a matter of days.
All this means, that the 2007 Rocklouder artist of the year is Paramore, and we couldn't think of a nicer bunch to bestow the honour upon!
We gave Hayley a call the other day to tell her the good news, and she had this to say:
"We are so stoked to be the no. 1 artist at Rocklouder.co.uk, so thanks for helping us get here! The Reading Festival ruled and it was so exciting to play it for the first time this year... and before you know it we'll be back over to kick off 2008 with our UK RIOT! Tour. It's going to rule so be there or... just be there."
So there you have it. Paramore are the Rocklouder Artist Of The Year 2007! We can't wait to see their upcoming UK tour and what they have planned for us, so stay right here for all things Paramore related in 2008!
First up is when Paramore will be invading Rocklouder at the end of January, and editing the site for the day! Keep your eyes peeled for more details on that one....
Anyway, back on track! And to celebrate them being Artist Of The Year, we've got a whole host of Paramore videos for you to check out:
