Band Of The Week: Manchester Orchestra
Artist profile: Manchester Orchestra

So, it's the week beginning Monday 10th December 2007 (you have to be regimented about these things or it just all falls apart) and our band of the week is...

...Manchester Orchestra!

We were planning to have someone else as this weeks must see/hear/love artist, and keep Manchester Orchestra back to coincide with them featuring prominently in our end of year album charts (there's some exclusive info for you! Check back next week...), but last night we witnessed the most incredible show at King's College in London.

We've been tracking the Atlanta boys since we first met them in March of this year on their very first trip to UK shores. Since then we've seen them go from strength to strength, drawing plaudits from all over the world for their debut LP 'I’m Like A Virgin Losing A Child' - you can read their 5* Rocklouder review here - and signing a major label record deal with Columbia Records.

They've toured the world supporting Kings Of Leon at the personal invitation of the Followill family, and it was all topped off last night when they played their biggest UK headline show to date, to a packed out London crowd.

In joyous recognition of all these things, we present to you the Rocklouder band of the week - Manchester Orchestra!

Watch them performing 'Wolves At Night' on The Late Show with David Letterman, back in September.
