Rising Welsh starlets Viva Machine are our inaugral Band Of The Week!
There's gonna be one every week (that's where we got the name from) and we're going to be keeping it official and datestamping each one so we can look back in 4 years and 73 days and slap ourselves on the back with how we were their first with the good tunes!
So, it's Monday 3rd December, and this week it's Viva Machine.
We've always been fans of the band here at Rocklouder since we met them last year. They've spent the last 12 months touring extensively including lengthy tour supports with fellow south wales upstarts The Automatic, and US darlings Shiny Toy Guns.
With record labels biting at their feet, you can expect their debut album, full of smash hit singles, to be forthcoming in 2008.
For now, you can be content with seeing them destroy central London at the Viva Machine Christmas party this week. It's on Tuesday 4th December, at The Social just off Oxford Street. The guys have also prepared a host of Xmas treats:
a) It's free to get in!
b) The first 20 people through the door get a VM limited edition tshirt!
c) They're kidnapping The Automatic for the night to come and DJ!
Add all that to the fact that you get to see Viva Machine play in anywhere smaller that the Astoria and it sounds like a pretty good night eh?
A perfect way to celebrate them being the Rocklouder band of the week?
We think so.
