'Fingers Become Thumbs' is the debut single from Future of The Left. Sounding like something that wouldn't be out of place in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, you can't help but like this rather odd rock-metal mix. The lyric "We're not alive, we're not alive" is something you are singing with from the first listen. It's odd, it's weird, it's catchy, it's brilliant! It is short, less than two minutes, but almost perfect at that length, it leaves you wanting more, to hear it again. Perfect qualities in a single.

As for the b-sides, 'The Lord Hates A Coward' isn't as catchy but is still good, while 'The Fibre Provider' could easily have been a single in it's own right, with enunciation reminiscent of Space and nonsense lyrics "white hovis, wigwam" it is easily as addictive.
