The Tunnels is packed to the rafters (well, brick roof), and they're all here to witness one thing; Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.

First up however, is Iain Archer. One time guitarist for Snow Patrol, the Irshman has been carving out a solo career for the last few years, and from the signs tonight, he should be headlining himself very soon. Playing on his own, rather than with his backing band, he makes excellent use of the guitar loop effects at his disposal to create a wonderfully full sound for one man and his guitar. The songs are excellent too, and his voice is perfectly suited to the music. Each song greeted with great appreciation from the crowd.

Main support band Keith showcase something completely different, a nice tempo change for what is a predominantly acoustic night. It's hard to describe what Keith do; there's bits of indie, electronic and funk all in there,
and it works very well. The whole room just seems to start dancing - they can't help it.

The noise level increases somewhat when Sam Duckworth and co. take the stage, the crowd clearly excited at the prospect of hearing how this works live. And the answer is, incredibly well. Singles 'Call Me Ishmael' and 'I Spy' get the best reception, and 'Lighthouse Keeper' and 'Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager' are particular stand outs. But the best part of the performance is seeing how it all comes together with a full band, such as the combination of a trumpet and a laptop, where else would you get that?!

Tonight answers the question many people have been asking. Do they live up to the hype? Yes.
